PIZZA

So I've been working on this recipe for a while, it's pretty simple and delicious. I made it for lunch today and we ate it all and I didn't have time to take a picture... So next time I make it, I'll have to make sure to take a picture! You'll need:
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
In you kitchen mixer mix about 1 cup of flour with the salt and instant yeast.

In a little bowl mix the warm water and the sugar.

Add the water mixture to the flour mixture. Let mix for about 4-5 minutes on medium speed.

About 1/2 cup at a time add the remaining flour. Once it's mixed let stand in the mixer for about 15 minutes. Then take it out and knead it by hand for about 2-3 minutes. Put the dough in a greased bowl and cover it for 1 hour or until the dough is doubled.

Then take the dough and shape it into a disk and put it back in the bowl covered in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator over night (about 12 hours).

Then put the dough on your kitchen counter, cut it into two pieces and cover with a clean dish towel and let stand (proof) for about and hour. Then shape them.. Here's a video i found to be useful...

Then preheat your oven to 500 degrees.

Put the desired toppings on your pizzas and then bake them for about 4-6 minutes (until cheese is golden)

ENJOY!
ps: you can also use this recipe to make bread sticks. You just shape into sticks instead of pizza... They are so good!
